August, 2016

NCGGN Uniforms display

The National Conclave of Grady Graduate Nurses, Inc., Atlanta Chapter, presented scholarship awards to three deserving future nurses at it's White Dress luncheon at the Marriott Hotel in College Park, GA.

The luncheon also featured Guest Speaker Dr. Mackie L. Harper Norris who expounded on the history of Grady Hospital Nursing school and found memories of past nursing practices. One interesting fact is displayed in the separate nurses uniforms over time — pink for the white nurses and blue for black nurses. Rounding out the affair was musical selections by the extremely talented Betty and Carolyn Scott and the Smooth Jazz Duet.

VEH Enterprises, Inc. is a proud supporter of this important charity organization.

Jean West, 2nd from right

December, 2013

In addition to providing a delicious holiday meal, McKing Consulting Corporation recognized employees and partners reaching notable anniversaries at the 2013 Annual Christmas Luncheon and Celebration.

Jean West was among the honorees to receive a plaque of appreciation and gratitude for FIVE YEARS of outstanding service to the Corporation from Vice President, Arthur “Jack” Jackson.  West joined the McKing Consulting team as an employee in May, 2008, as a Public Health Advisor (Informatics) on a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  After four years of successfully supporting the corporation as an employee, West resigned from McKing Consulting in 2013 to allow VEH Enterprises, Inc.™ to establish an independent contractor relationship with McKing Consulting Corporation (see article below).

The holiday festivities held at the Marriott Century Center Hotel in Atlanta included photograph sessions and concluded with the awarding of many coveted prizes and token awards.

VEH Enterprises, Inc.™ Sub-contracts for McKing Consulting Corporation.

January, 2013

Jean West, President and CEO, is pleased to announce a subcontract agreement between VEH Enterprises, Inc.™ and McKing Consulting Corporation.  Under the terms of the agreement, VEH will serve as an independent contractor for the performance of services for McKing Consulting under its prime contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Although this agreement ushers in a substantial change in the relationship between VEH and McKing Consulting, the transition was completely transparent to the customer, the CDC.  West stated that, “we are blessed to have provided continuous service to the CDC for the past seven years; all while experiencing the transition of three agency reorganizations, and employee-to-independent-contractor relationships with two separate consulting companies”.
